At Locsense, we develop hardware to measure the impedance of cell cultures through Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Our customers rely on our technology to observe the properties of cell cultures over time and during specific events, such as the addition of test compounds.
We are entering a key growth phase and are searching for a driven Senior Embedded Engineer who wants to step into a Working Foreman / Operational Lead role to drive our daily operations and guide our engineering efforts.
Job description
In this role, you will combine high-level technical expertise with operational leadership. You will take ownership of our firmware and software architecture while helping coordinate day-to-day operations and guiding fellow engineers in our growing team. Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a operational lead to steer daily workflows and support the development team
- Maintain, design and implement Firmware solutions that will run on a microcontroller
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate customer needs into practical solutions
- Provide technical input during product demonstrations and evaluations
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Profile
You feel right at home with designing and implementing embedded solutions. You are enthusiastic and take initiative. You also fit the following profile:
- A (master’s) degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science or work experience in a related field
- >5 years experience in embedded engineering
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methods
- Knowledge of the C and C++ programming languages
- Experience with programming microcontrollers
- Knowledge of or willing to learn FPGA/Verilog programming
- An energetic, positive, and open-minded attitude
- Interest in new technologies and innovative laboratory solutions
- Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment
