At Locsense we develop hardware to measure the impedance of cell cultures through Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Our customers are interested in the properties of the cell cultures over time as well as during occurrences of specific events like adding certain compounds to the cells.
Job description
As an Embedded Engineer, you will play a prime role in designing and implementing the firmware and software for our innovative laboratory instruments. You will work closely with end users, hardware developers and other software engineers to make our full stack (hardware, firmware and software) work. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain, design and implement Firmware solutions that will run on a microcontroller
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate customer needs into practical solutions
- Provide technical input during product demonstrations and evaluations
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Profile
You feel right at home with designing and implementing embedded solutions. You are enthusiastic and take initiative. You also fit the following profile:
- A (master’s) degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science or work experience in a related field
- Knowledge of the C and C++ programming languages
- Experience with programming microcontrollers
- Knowledge of or willing to learn FPGA/Verilog programming
- An energetic, positive, and open-minded attitude
- Interest in new technologies and innovative laboratory solutions
- Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment
